They need to activated by right clicking on the equipped card in inventory. or activate it through skills window. If it's a bike you have equipped right click 'Summon Astral Bike' and if it's board then, of course, right click 'Astral Board' (somehow the word 'summon' is missing here). If you are asking on the difference between bikes and boards... You are sitting on the bike and standing on the board :). You can check the pictures. Other difference would be that bikes provide only additional defense, while boards can provide various attributes: Skill EXP per Skill, HP Steal Limit Up, Critical Rate, Critical Damage and Skill Amp. To say what what you is the best to have: for defense: Bike RW3; for attack: Board K-Red.

There are only 2 types of bikes, Blue bikes and RW3 bikes. RW3 are better bikes (and rarer). Bikes provide nice defense and defense rate bonus. In addition, if you have RW3 bike you can access your warehouse from wherever you are, and you don't have to go the agent in town. On the picture you can see the card of Blue bike. You can coulour your bike. You can choose from 8 colours, each costs 100kk at Grocer. You can colour you bike even mupltiple times, though colour affects only its appearance, not stats & bonuses.
Boards

You can get yourself one free board very easily, though dont expect anything special. You need to go to Port Lux (available since lvl. 50). Find monster named 'Phantom' (location marked on the map) and after death it drops Board of Phantom Fera (maybe you will need 2-3 tries). Stats of this board are: Defense +8, HP +50. It also drops Epaulet of Phantom Fera. So If you dont have any epaulet yet, take also this item from him.
